Five Common Computer Problems

DLL File Missing
Dynamic-Link Library (DLL) files house information for your operating system on how to perform certain functions. Occasionally, your computer loses DLL files or something damages them. When your PC can't read the particular DLL file, it doesn't know how to respond in certain situations. You may have a missing or corrupt DLL file if you receive an error message every time you perform a certain function, such as saving. If your computer problems are stemming from missing and damaged DLL files, you can restore them by downloading them back onto your PC.

Blue Screen of Death (BSoD)
Many people think of blue as a calming color; however, when it comes up on your computer screen with a bunch of white text, it probably has the opposite effect. The blue screen of death (BSoD or STOP Error) may appear to be one of the scariest computer problems you'll come across. However, all your computer may need is for you to reboot it. This STOP error appears on your screen for a variety of reasons: failing hardware, damaged software, corrupt DLL files, problems with drivers and more. The remedy for a blue screen of death depends on the original problem. The screen provides you with codes that can help you identify and fix your computer problems.
Applications That Won't Install
If you're having trouble with an application not installing, it may be because your computer doesn't have enough hard drive space. If this is the case, you need to free up some space. This is one of the computer problems that's, well, least problematic. You can free up some hard drive space by getting rid of files and folders you don't need. These may be temporary files, duplicate files or data for software you've uninstalled.
Applications Run Slowly
There are several reasons software might be running at turtle speed. You may have computer problems that involve your operating system or an application, your operating system might be missing updates or your computer doesn't have enough hard drive space. If you don't have enough hard drive space, you can scan, clean and optimize your hard drive.
Abnormal Applications Behavior
Computer problems that involve applications acting strangely oftentimes leave you wondering what has happened. Your application has been working just fine, but now, seemingly without reason, it is doing something strange.
For instance, your Word document will no longer show the top margin of your document. It still says it's there, and when you print it, there's not a problem. You just can't see it on your monitor. If this is happening, you may want to restart your computer. Conducting an internet search for the type of problem you're experiencing or consulting your user manual may help you as well.

RAM problem & solution part-2

Whats reason to memory damage?

  1. Power surges can damage most computer components, including RAM. You should plug your computer and other expensive electronics into a surge protector. Make sure you know the difference between a surge protector and a power strip.
  2. Before you handle any parts in your computer, make sure you ground yourself by touching a piece of grounded metal to discharge static electricity. Electrostatic discharge can damage your computer.
  3. Excessive heat can cause RAM and other parts to wear out over time. Individual components can overheat, or heat from one component can cause damage to adjacent parts.
  4. If you have overclocked any part of your computer incorrectly, it may cause damage in the form of excess heat.
  5. Your memory module may have some fault that passed through quality control and worsened over time. This is the most likely cause behind a damaged RAM.
It is also possible that the memory module is fine, but one or more memory slots on your motherboard are defective, hindering the RAM's performance. The defect may even be so bad that it damages the memory stick.

RAM problem and solution: part-1

Warning of a RAM Problem :-
1. When you first turn on your computer it start fine, but as you go about your business you notice that its performance diminishes. By lunch time, websites take minutes to load and local programs run at a snail's pace. This type of gradual deterioration of PC performance, especially with memory-intensive programs, may be caused by a RAM problem.
2.Your computer randomly restarts while you are in the middle of something or freeze sporadically. It may also reboot almost immediately upon opening the desktop. This could be a sign of faulty RAM.
3. A blue screen with white text flashes before restarting. Blue-screen errors are annoying because you don't even have a chance to read the error message. Bad RAM is one thing that cause them.

4. Files—particularly ones you frequently access and save—seem to be inexplicably corrupted. RAM issues can lead to this problem, which can worsen over time. The file structure of your hard drive may slowly degenerate and you will no longer be able to boot your machine.
5. Your attempts to install a new program repeatedly fail for unknown reasons. You try to reinstall the operating system, but keep getting odd error messages.
There are certainly a variety of problems that could cause the issues above, but faulty RAM is an often-overlooked root cause of inexplicable issues. If you have one or a combination of the above problems you are likely facing a memory issue.

HOW TO FIX DISK FRAGMENTATION on our PC ?

Solution :: part.2

WHAT DOES DISK DEFRAGMENTER DO?

The Disk defragmenter puts back files that get fragmented (which happens in the process of adding/deleting/editing files) back together in a sequential order in order to speed up data access. This means files and programs and will open without lags and it prevents slowdowns caused by fragmentation.

HOW ON THE WAY TO DEFRAGMENT?

VISTA Defragment every part of your drives. 1. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter. If you are pressed for an administrator password or authentication, type the password or provide authorization. 2. choose your drive and Click Defragment Now. XP Defragment every part of your drives. 1. Go to START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM TOOLS > DISK DEFRAGMENTER 2.choose your drive and click the DEFRAGMENT button. Windows 7. 1. Go to Start > Control Panel > System and Security. 2. Below the Administrative Tools Section, Click on Defragment your hard drive.

After the Disk investigation is complete, Windows 7 force indicate if a defrag is recommended. verify the fragmentation percentage under "Last Run." If it is higher than 10%, operation a disk defrag is recommended. 5. Tick "Defragment Disk". The Disk Defragment course container take a little minutes to a little hours depending on the size of your drive and the scale to which it is fragmented.

You can carry on to work while Windows 7 defragments your drive, but you may see a little decreased performance during the defrag course. You can choose which way is high-quality for you to take care of your hard disk. In order to apply your computer well, it is essential for the computer users know something about how to do the PC repairs job.

HOW TO FIX DISK FRAGMENTATION on our PC ?

Solution :: 1st part.

Refers to the order of a disk in which files are separated into pieces dotted around the disk. Fragmentation occurs logically when you apply a disk frequently, creating, deleting, and modifying files. At a few point, the operating system wants to store parts of a file in noncontiguous clusters. This is entirely hidden to users, but it can slow down the pace at which data is accessed be cause the disk drive have to search through different parts of the disk to put jointly a single file.

Fragmentation can also refer to RAM that has little, unused holes dotted throughout it. This is called external fragmentation. With modern working systems that use a paging system, a more common type of RAM fragmentation is internal fragmentation. This occurs when memory is billed in frames and the frame size is better than the amount of memory requested.

TO FIX DISK FRAGMENTATION YOU HAVE TO DO DEFRAGMENTATION. WHAT DID YOU SAY DEFRAGMENTATION?

Defragmentation is the course of locating the noncontagious/dotted fragments of data into which a computer file may be separated as it is stored on a hard disk, and rearranging the fragments and restoring them into less fragments or into the whole file on PC.

Defragmentation reduces data contact time and allows storage to be used more professionally. Some working systems mechanically defragment storage occasionally; others require that the user occasionally use a particular utility for this purpose. "Defrag" is a little form of the verb to defragment and sometimes the name of the utility used for defragementing, which is also called a defragmenter.

How to select DVD/CD problems ?

PC Hardware Solution : : part .1
Windows 95 was possibly the first Windows product that had a CD-ROM drive.Customers found it amazing to listen in to music on their computers, play intensely graphical games or look at videos and upload download Megabytes of data on to one CD disk. With the addition of DVD drives later, Media middle Editions became quite popular among PC users.

Users were clever to copy, upload, download and make files, copy music and videos via the DVD drives that now might hold Gigabytes of data!. With the start of MP3 players and I-Tunes, the music industry also joined in to exploit on the media frenzy. Currently, all computers are ready with CD players and many come with RW DVD players. The old standby, the floppy disk drive seems to be going out of way. Who wants a little disk that can store 1.44Mb of data anyway? The next generation will be every one about Gigabytes and Terabytes!!

In the market nowadays, we have CD Creators, DVD creators, VCD creators, Movie Maker software, Photo and DVD Slideshow applications, Video image converter software, DVD backup software, etc. There seems to be no need of resources to help the customer in achieving the goal of preserving, creating and sharing movies, music or memories.
